Pink Floyd kinda goes hard
Pink Floyd is one of those bands that is considered to be the greatest of all times. The internet community and culture around is so cool. So personally I up until now I honestly haven't been in a mindset to properly understand their music. The only album I have listened to is 'The Dark Side of the Moon' and I love that album. Recently I had this chat with a mate of mine and apparently 'the great gig in the sky' is considered be annoying by the internet. Personally that's one of my favorite songs in the album. It's just takes me to certain place that's hard to describe and it's so much fun to sing along to. There is this one moment before the lady starts singing where a guy goes "I am not frightened of dying, you know. Any time will do, I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've got to go sometime" For some reason that gets me al the time.A week before I was like "you know what I need, some Pink Floyd" and I proceeded to hear the album 'Wish you were here' and holy fuck is it good. My current favorites are "shine on you crazy diamond pts 1-5" and 'Wish you were here'. Listening to "shine on you crazy diamond pts 1-5" is an experience that's hard to describe, it this weird, slow psychedelic journey and then suddenly the lyrics come in and it's like this wave of ecstasy. It is such a good track though. Then there is 'wish you were here'. Initially I was like "Wow, that's a pretty acoustic song". Then I just looked up the lyrics, after that I just sat in my chair and was like "Damn". The lyric's hit me so hard. As of now I'm just listening to the entire album a lot, I want to take in the album fully before further moving into their discography. They're so cool.
Thank you for reading.
